At Kemna, community has always been at the heart of who we are. Since 1956, we have been proud to serve not only our customers, but also the towns, schools, organizations, and families that make this area such a special place to call home.

We believe being a local business means showing up, giving back, and investing in the people who support us every day. Over the years, Kemna has been honored to donate to and support many organizations and causes throughout our communities, including the Kossuth County Cancer Foundation, Algona Police Department, Moving Veterans Forward, Audi Crooks Foundation, Hunting with Heroes, Kossuth County Fairgrounds and Race Track, Bishop Garrigan Gala, and many more.

Each year, we also love opening our doors for community events that bring families together, including photos with Santa, visits with the Easter Bunny, and other fun opportunities for our customers and neighbors to make memories right here at Kemna.

Our commitment to community also extends to the next generation of leaders. Through Kemna’s Driving Tomorrow’s Leaders Scholarship, we proudly recognize graduating seniors from Algona High School and Bishop Garrigan High School who make a meaningful impact through leadership, work ethic, character, and commitment to athletics.

Each year, scholarships are awarded to students who lead by example—not necessarily because they are the most talented athlete on the field, but because they put their team first, show up with a positive attitude, are coachable, work hard, and pursue excellence both on and off the field.

These students represent the same values we strive to live by every day at Kemna: integrity, dependability, teamwork, and the drive to keep getting better.
